Gravel Calculators by Project
"How much gravel do I need?" has a different right answer for a driveway than for a walkway. These tools are tuned per application — each with its own typical depths, materials, and worked example, not the same calculator with a different title.
Gravel Driveway Calculator
Two-layer driveway quantities: compacted base plus clean top, each with its own material.
Paver Base Calculator
Compacted crushed stone under paver patios and walkways — and why base gravel isn't decorative gravel.

Trench-based volume with drainage-specific stone sizes.
Retaining Wall Gravel Calculator
Drainage backfill behind a wall — why it matters structurally.
Patio Gravel Calculator
Surface and base quantities for gravel patios.
Gravel Walkway Calculator
Long, narrow strip math with bag counts.
Fence Post Gravel Calculator
Per-post drainage layers, computed in bags.
Shed Foundation Gravel Calculator
Compacted pads sized bigger than the shed.
Aquarium Gravel Calculator
Substrate by tank size or dimensions, reported in pounds or kilograms — the right units for fishkeepers.
Why per-project tools?
Depth drives everything: a walkway sits at 2–3 inches, a paver base at 4–6, a driveway base at 4–6 plus a 2–3 inch top. Material differs too — compacting crusher run for structure, washed stone for drainage, pea gravel for comfort, washed stone for drainage.
The general all-in-one homepage calculator handles all of it if you already know your depth and material. The per-project pages are for when you don't — they encode the typical practice, explain why it is what it is, and link to the guides for the underlying reasoning.
