Gravel Calculators

Every gravel tool on this site lives here — by material, by unit, and by job. Quantity, weight, conversion, and cost: pick the question you're actually asking. For project-specific depths and materials, see the applications instead; for the reasoning, the guides.

Which tool do you need?

Know your project but not the depth? Start with the application calculators — driveways, paver bases, French drains, and more come with typical depths and materials built in.

Know your volume but not the weight? The yards-to-tons converter and the weight calculator both bridge the gap — planning happens in cubic yards, but suppliers price by the ton.

Working out a budget? The gravel cost calculator uses your supplier's quoted rate rather than a misleading national average.

And if you just want one fast answer, the homepage gravel calculator handles any shape and any material — including common grading codes like #57 — in a single pass.

Why material matters: a cubic yard of loose gravel, pea gravel, and crusher run do not weigh the same — densities range from roughly 1.35 to 1.6 tons per cubic yard. Every tool on this site shows the exact density figure it used.
